An action is a direct experience, an impact that does not leave you indifferent. An action is a new proposal for the senses. A set of perceptions disconnected in the beginning but this provokes certain insecurity. If we are patient enough to observe everything that arises inside us, either we receive it, either we try to find it an explanation. We need to understand, to relate the different perceptions. The difficulty relies on keeping the attention on the feeling. Art is not led to reason but to the feeling. It is only necessary to observe what we feel and then meditate, think. The feeling generated inside us evolves, grows up and, perhaps, it will bear fruits in the near or the far future.
This action suggests a transformation process through movement, through rhythm. What is that we do here on the Earth, in this body made out of salt? Is it a death body? A rock? A grain of dust lost in the immense space? Or is it a living being? Or perhaps an open book written in a language we do not understand? Through the rhythmic doing, we start to discover this language: art. Art is like the earth’s language, the language speaking within us that we later share in the form of an artistic piece of work: as a picture, as a sculpture, as music, as an action…
