The presentation of Pep Aymerich’s pieces of work, located in the first floor, is not linear but complementary. The piece of his body projection, when launched into the water, generates a completely different sensation. As it is cyclic, we perceive it more relaxed and existential which allows him to emphasize those emotional aspects going beyond the piece’s physicality. On one side, he experiments the impact produced by the water resistance on the artist’s body when it is launched in an artificial lake. On the other, the sensations a baby may feel in the womb.
The other piece starts from the elements light and water but introduces other components like smoke, darkness, light reflections and shadows. With this elements incorporated, he metamorphoses the architecture, that is, he transforms the environment conditions of the translucent body into a dense space where the spectator, captivated by the intensity of the light spot, must go into the corridor generated by the smoke density.
